Chapter Seven

Lucas stood in his room at one of the villas he owed overlooking the city. It was already night time. By now, she should be married to that guy right?

No….the wedding should have ended a kind time ago….the both of them will be in thier newly wed room right now.

Just the thought of Alexa spending the night with that man was enough to make Lucass heart so much. It hurt so much that he almost has difficulty breathing.

But even though it hurt so much that he felt like he was going to die, he still did not have anything that he could do . In the business world, he is a force to be reckoned with. There isn a single person who isn afraid of him and his methods.

But in the end, at the end of the day, because of Alexa, he was able to abandon everything to accompany her. Even though he knew that he wasn going to get anything out of it, as long as he could stay by her side, he still wanted to do it.

However, there was no way that he could stay by her side forever. She was getting married. Even though he felt indignant, even though he did not want her to get married, there was still nothing that he could do about it. He still had to let her go. It wasn that he did not have ways that he could make Alexa leave with him, but he could not bear to do those things to her. He could not bear to make her unhappy. So even though he is the one who has to bear with the pain, he still had to put up with it. Because he did not want to be the reason why Alexa was hurt.

Lucas had forced to not look at anything that had anything to do with Alexa and her marriage. But just because he did not look at it did not mean that it wasn there. Alexa is already married and that is a fact. Even though he was forcing himself not to look at it, he still knew that if it was a fact. It was a fact that he could not do anything about.

Because he knew how much Alexa loved that man. The only thing that Lucas could hope for now was that Ryan loved Alexa as much as he claimed. He hoped that he would treat Alexa well for the rest of his life

Just then, someone knocked on the door. Lucas frowned. He thought that he told Kyle that he did not want to be disturbed today.

Who the hell was here to look for him? Lucas knew that the news that he has returned to the business world would have already spread by now and there were bounds to be lots of people who wanted to see him. But he did not want to see anyone right now. So he got Kyle stationed outside to drive away anyone that wanted to see him.

He wanted to mourn the loss of the love that he has been holding on to for more than ten years.

But it seemed that these people weren going to even give him a breathing space. They still came to look for him again.

How annoying!

Lucas had already decided to ignore whoever was ringing the bell outside. Once they rang enough and no one answered, they were going to go away.

But that person sure was persistent. He kept ringing the door bell non stop.

Lucas was starting to get frustrated. He did not know what he was supposed to do with this! He really was not in the mood to see anyone or talk about work.

Just then, Lucass personal phone rang. They were very few people who had this number. Lucas picked it up and looked at the caller ID.

It was Kyle.

Who is this person that was able to get Kyle to call him personally for him? Doesn he know how to take the hint and get lost?

But since Kyle was already calling him personally, Lucas had no other choice but to answer the call.

”Kyle. Didn I tell you not to let anyone know that Im here right now? I don want to see anyone! Can you understand that? Get that person to get lost right now! ” Lucas ordered.

Besides being good friends who had been through a lot of difficult times together, Kyle was also his personal assistant.

Lucas did not have anyone else whom he trusted enough for the position so he gave it to Kyle. Most of the time, he treated Kyle more like a trusted confindantee and friend than as a personal assistant.

But right now, he was in the worst of moods so he lashed out at Kyle.

But Kyle did not say anything after a few seconds.

Lucas had to call out his name. ”Kyle? ”

Just then, a booming voice sounded out from the phone.

”Hey you! What do you think that you are doing right now?! You came back and you didn even come to tell me about it?! You think that you can do whatever you want right now so you don have to care about me anymore?! ”

Lucas removed the phone from his ear so he didn have to listen to the yelling of the person on the other end of the phone.

Without being told, he already knew who it was. It was his father.

No wonder the person would not give up no matter what. No wonder Kyle had no choice but to call him himself.

Lucas could already imagine the scene of his father forcing Kyle to call him and hand the phone over to him.

Lucas sighed. He knew that there was no way he could get out of this now. He had to see his father.

He wondered how his father was able to get a hold of the fact that he was here right now.
