Chapter Four

Alexa looked at her dress that was now dripping with blood. ”This is so annoying! Do you know how much I spent for this dress?! ” Alexa yelled. It seemed like she was more upset about the dress than getting stabbed.

Im going to get you! ” The man said. He tried to stab her again. Because she was already hurt, she wasn able to dodge on time and he cut her again. Alexa realized now that she was at a disadvantage. She was hurt now.

The man did not seem to care about her life. He had already been told to kill her if he could not get her alive.

Alexa quickly realized that the men did not want to get her alive. They would not mind killing her…the only option now…was to run!

She turned back immediately and made a bolt for it.

The leader immediately yelled to the two of his subordinates who were still awake. ”Get up! Lets get her! The boss won let us live if we let her get away! ” Immediately, the three men started chasing after Alexa.

Alexa ran and hide. She was used to this life anyway. Sometimes, she thought that it was really interesting. Having to live like this. And at other times, like right now, she wondered why she had to struggle so much. Girls her age were all meeting boyfriends and making friends but she constantly had to be on the run, beating men, killing people if she did not want to be killed.

It wasn as if they was anything she could do about. As a member of the Mafia gang, this was her life. No, she was born into the Mafia, she did not have a choice. She had to carry on with this.

Her adopted father once led the biggest mafia gang in the country. She was the one running it now she had definitely offended a bunch of people.They were always people out to get her. She had to protect herself.

But as Alexa ran down the streets of the cold winter night, she was seriously asking herself, ”Will she be able to survive it this time? Will she be able to get out alive this time? ” She was already bleeding so much. Is this the end for her?

Alexas mind was already a haze. She was starting to feel weak, but she had to keep running. Those men were about to catch up to her. If she slipped up, she would be dead. Her father would probably end all of them but she would already be dead. What use is that then? She couldn find a boyfriend yet. She definitely could not die yet!

In bed confused state of mind, Alexa ran into the street and was knocked over by a car.

The last thing that she saw was the men who were chasing her turning around and looking away as if they did not see anything.

In that helpless state, Alexa could not help but let out a bitter laugh. Is bed life going to end like this?

Ryan fastened his belt with a satsifed grin on his face. Rita was smirking. The fact that Alexa was about to get married to Ryan without knowing that he just had a tryst with her made her really happy.

Alexa is always acting as if she is the smartest person around.. she never gave others the spotlight…she would like to see Alexa break down because of a relationship favour.

Ryan still wasn wearing a shit yet. Rita ran her perfect manicured fingers around his chest.

”How long do you have to stay married to her for? The fact that you have to share a bed with that Alexa really makes me sad ” Rita said and pouted.

Ryan smiled and slapped her ass. ”Do you have to be so Jealous? You know that the both of us will never have anything together.. I just need to get the inheritance…if that senile man Peter didn let her take over the entire organization, Ill never have had to agree to be with her. How is Alexa better than me? Why did he think that Alexa can run it while I can ? ” Ryan asked

This was what he was most angry about. The fact that Peter and Alexa were constantly looking down on him. Thinking that there is nothing that he can do right!

Hmph! Hell just have to show them that he too can run the mafia group well! He doesn need anyones help! Once he gets rid of that snobbish woman Alexa, everything that she has right now will be his!

”But…. before I can get it ..I have to be nice to her… Alexa is smart…when it doesn involve her personal relationships…she won be easily fooled ” Ryan said. This was a fact that he had to admit.

Even Rita had to agree with Ryan on that. As long as if isn something that has to do with Alexas personal relationships, she won be fooled so easily. They had to be careful or else they were never going to get anything out of her.

”But I really don like to see you with her ” Rita said again. She pouted, acted cute and whined. She knew that this was the best way to get to Ryan. He has never been able to resist her when she is like this.

”Im really sorry Rita . Youll have to suffer for some time…once we get rid of her… everything that she has will be ours. You won need to put up with her anymore ” Ryan said.

Rita smiled in satisfaction. This was what she always wanted. To take everything that belonged to Alexa.

Ever since Alexa saved her life, she had always acted as if she owed her entire life to her. Or at least that was what Rita thought.

She thought that Alexa was always trying to show that she was better than her.

So she wanted to take everything that belonged to Alexa. To show that she won ever be able to beat her.
